Hailing from Sydney, Alexei Dupressoir is a freelance clarinettist who has enjoyed a diverse musical career in Australia and internationally. He graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with First Class Honours and a Master of Music Studies guided under the tutelage of Catherine McCorkill, Peter Jenkin and Frank Celata. Following his studies he was selected as the Clarinet Fellow with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra's Fellowship program.

Alexei has performed as Principal Clarinet with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (UK) and Auckland Philharmonia (NZ). In addition to this Alexei has also performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Opera Australia Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Alexei has held Principal Bass Clarinet contracts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.

Alexei is a dedicated pedagogue who values musical education to the highest degree. He is a sought out music tutor having worked with many schools and music institutions throughout the Sydney region. He has also enjoyed undertaking outreach educational work throughout Australia.
